The ‘Shining Bright’ Self Esteem course is structured across two days.
DAY 1 – Introduction
This part of the course involves looking at what self esteem is. Self awareness is a key part of this process and several techniques are used to examine this aspect of self development. Techniques such as exercise, positive thinking and affirmations are used.
Relaxation and Meditation
Relaxation and meditation are fundamental elements of the Self Esteem Course. Why is relaxation so important? How is this achieved? Relaxation techniques are demonstrated and practised within the group so that the benefits can be experienced. Meditation is a way of focusing the mind and relaxing the body. Different types of meditation are demonstrated on this part of the course which can improve memory and focus, as well as creating a calm and peaceful energy.
Self Healing
Self healing is a technique designed to repair damage to self esteem. This can strengthen the body and the mind and improve the immune system. To achieve the best results, sleep patterns, diet and nutrition are reviewed and looked at in conjunction with relaxation and overall health. Practical exercises are part of this aspect of the course.
The first day of the Self Esteem Course incorporates breaks for lunch and for coffee and at the end of the day, there is a general summary of the day with question and answer sessions to review what has been learnt.
DAY 2 – Therapy and Thinking
Colour Therapy
Colour therapy is a key part of Day 2 on the Self Esteem Course. Colours have a significant impact on how we are feeling, what we wear and how we decorate our homes. Examining what colours we are drawn to and why is a great self awareness tool. As such, colour can be used to positively influence your life and your outlook and self esteem. The following are brief examples of colour therapy:
Red – Very active, physical, dynamic, vital energy. Likes a challenge and life in the fast lane. Red people show emotions and willpower, but also can be prone to hyper-activity, anger and resentment.
Turquoise – Signifies a deep need for peace, divine communication and faith. Artistic talent and creativity. Trustworthy and reliable but negative aspects can be superstition, lethargy, laziness and lack of ambition.
Positive Thinking and Affirmations
This part of the course examines the way we think and the impact that this has on our lives. For example, dark, heavy thoughts can mean that reality is perceived that way and subsequently others respond in a negative way. A key aspect of positive thinking is how to change our thought patterns from negative to positive and how to work on using the sub conscious to initiate this change. Practical exercises are used to illustrate this and mirror work, posture and life visions also play a key role during this course.
Shining Bright’s Self Esteem course involves each person taking responsibility for themselves and taking an active part in their own healing program. This is vital for personal growth and healing. Courses are conducted in a safe, nurturing, healing environment and will feel comfortable and relaxed. You will learn, through the series of therapeutic techniques mentioned, skills that will assist with building self esteem and confidence which will lead to more positive behaviour. The combination of these techniques promotes the creation of a lasting, balanced, healthy and happy life.
